Let’s Create Something Meaningful
I would love the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art especially for you.
A commissioned painting can be inspired by a favorite place, a meaningful photograph, a person or pet, a landscape, flowers, nature, a special memory, a particular color palette, or simply an idea you would like brought to life.
Because my work includes a variety of styles — including abstract art, landscapes, portraits, nature-inspired pieces, and still life — every commission begins with a conversation about what you have in mind.
My goal is not simply to reproduce an image, but to create an original work of art that feels personal and meaningful to you.
How the Commission Process Works
The process begins with a few simple details about the painting you would like.
You may already have a very specific idea, or you may simply know the colors, subject, size, or feeling you want the artwork to have. Either is perfectly fine.
Once I receive your request, we can discuss the project in more detail, including:
- The subject or inspiration for the painting
- Preferred size and orientation
- Colors you would like included or avoided
- The style or overall feeling you would like
- Photographs or reference images, if applicable
- Where the artwork will be displayed
- Your desired completion timeframe
For portraits, landscapes, pets, buildings, or other recognizable subjects, clear reference photographs are especially helpful.
Creating Your Painting
Once we agree on the direction for the piece, I will begin creating your original artwork.
Commissioned artwork is still created in my own artistic style, so the finished painting will not be an exact photographic reproduction. Part of what makes a commissioned piece special is the interpretation that happens through the creative process.
Depending on the type of painting, I may share progress images along the way so you can see your piece taking shape.
Because every painting is individually created by hand, slight variations and artistic interpretation are part of the finished work.
Sizes & Pricing
Pricing for commissioned artwork will vary depending on the size, subject, level of detail, materials, and complexity of the painting.
Once I understand what you are looking for, I will provide you with a price before the project begins.
Larger paintings, highly detailed portraits, multiple subjects, or particularly complex compositions may require additional time and will be priced accordingly.
Deposit
A deposit is required before work begins on a commissioned painting.
The remaining balance will be due when the artwork is completed and before the painting is shipped or delivered.
Completion Time
Because each commission is created individually, completion times will vary depending on the size and complexity of the artwork and the number of commissions currently in progress.
If the painting is intended for a birthday, anniversary, wedding, holiday, or other special occasion, please include the date when submitting your request so I can let you know whether the requested timeframe is possible.
Shipping & Local Pickup
Completed artwork can be carefully packaged and shipped, or arrangements may be made for local pickup when appropriate.
Shipping costs are calculated separately based on the size of the artwork and the destination.
Every painting is carefully packaged to help ensure that it arrives safely.
Ready to Begin?
If you have an idea for a special painting, I would love to hear about it.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before contacting me. Tell me as much — or as little — as you know, and we can develop the idea together.

Please include the following information when submitting your request:

- Preferred colors — including any colors you especially like or would prefer to avoid
- Your inspiration — tell me a little about what you would like the painting to represent
- Reference photographs — if the painting is based on a person, pet, place, or specific subject
- Where the painting will be displayed — optional, but helpful when considering size and colors
- Special occasion or deadline — if applicable
